Nick Wellmon

Founder, Managing Partner

Nick Wellmon is the Founder and Managing Partner of Due West Partners. Nick is responsible for origination, execution and monitoring of all investments, and currently serves on the Board of Directors for Sky Harbour Group (NYSE:SKYH), Onamac Industries and Sagetech Avionics.

Prior to launching Due West, Nick was Director of Finance & Strategy at Exotic Metals, a recognized leader in the aerospace and defense industry. While at Exotic, Nick controlled the financial and strategic initiatives across the company’s business channels, and in 2019 led the sale of Exotic to Parker Hannifin Corporation.

Earlier in his career, Nick also has ample experience in the investment banking industry, where he advised middle market companies on mergers, acquisitions and capital raising activities. Nick graduated from Wake Forest University with a B.S. in Finance.

Nick lives in Seattle with his wife and their two children.

 

Robert Dickinson

Managing Partner

Robert Dickinson joined Due West Partners in 2020 as a Managing Partner. Responsible for origination, execution and monitoring of portfolio investments in the A&D sector, Robert combines 20+ years of finance, consulting and engineering/operational experience almost exclusively in the sector. Robert’s extensive knowledge of A&D business models, technical background and deep industry relationships allow him to assess investment opportunities from a unique perspective.

Prior to joining Due West, Robert spent 10 years with Lazard Frères & Co., a global leader in mergers & acquisitions advisory. As a member of Lazard’s Global Industrials Group, Robert advised clients primarily in the A&D and diversified industrials sectors. Robert successfully completed more than 40 M&A and corporate advisory transactions for public and private companies with an aggregate value of over $10 billion.  

Prior to joining Lazard, Robert was an Associate at Booz Allen Hamilton assisting the U.S. Air Force in the space and defense technology markets. Robert has also held positions at Booz & Co., where he specialized in cost transformation projects for large aerospace clients, and at Raytheon Technologies/Pratt & Whitney. While at P&W, Robert oversaw on-going technical development efforts for three legacy commercial engine programs and spent time in the Middle East, Europe and the U.S. working with commercial airline and Maintenance Repair Overhaul (MRO) clients.

Robert and his wife have three daughters and live in New York City.
